To Build a Better Internet in San Mateo County, Do This...

IMPORTANT Info for all cellphone users: On Thursday, March 9th, the County of San Mateo sent this critical information update: "County Needs Help to Secure Broadband Funding. The County of San Mateo is asking residents, particularly those without access to Broadband Internet, to take a survey from the Federal Communications Commission that could help secure funding to bring high-speed internet access to local underserved and unserved communities. The FCC requires internet service providers to report where they make internet services available. The FCC reviews the data and then publishes it on the National Broadband Map. Residents can dispute or challenge information shown on the map they believe is inaccurate."

Here is a link to the SMC website: https://www.smcgov.org/ceo/news/do-you-want-build-better-internet-home-or-anywhere-san-mateo-county

The gist is that we need everyone who struggles with phone connectivity to follow those instructions. First, download the FCC Connect app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.trinixdevelopment.fcc&hl=en_US&gl=US&pli=
