Devil's Slide Coastal Trail & County Park, converted from the former highway, opened to the public in March 2014.

California Coastal Trail (CCT) - County Parks is the lead agency for the completion of the CCT in the Midcoast.

County Parks 2007 Midcoast Action Plan projects are funded by  Midcoast Park Development Fees. The fee, established in 2003, on all new and remodel construction, is to be used for Midcoast parkland development and improvements - not operations and maintenance. Midcoast Parks Development Fund income/expenditures:

Reports: Inception thru 2012, FY's 2013-2015, FY 2015-2016, FY2021-22, FY2022-23, FY2023-24. No reports for missing years.

The expenditures shown above covered costs for the Quarry Park Pump Track which opened to the public in, 2022 (about 81% of this pump track project was funded by the Mid-Coast Parks and Rec Development Fee).
