Applications (link to PDF) are being accepted for appointment by the Board of Supervisors to fill two vacancies on the Midcoast Community Council (MCC), one for a term ending in December 2024 (2-year) and one for a term ending in December 2026 (4-year). To be eligible, applicant must be a registered voter residing in the unincorporated Midcoast communities of Montara, Moss Beach, El Granada, Princeton or Miramar.
Deadline for receipt of applications is Monday, Feb. 20. Applicants will be interviewed at the regular MCC meeting on Feb. 22nd, and two, plus an alternate, will be recommended to the Board of Supervisors.
The mission of the MCC is to provide the community with a more effective means to express its views to the County of San Mateo and other governmental agencies on matters of concern to the community, and to contribute to the community’s awareness of issues of public import by providing a forum for discussions. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM (ending time varies), at 504 Ave Alhambra, 3rd floor, El Granada.
