Following up on bus service evaluation and public comment over the past year, SamTrans has released their Coastside Transit Study Update, which includes a set of Coastside service recommendations.
Near-term improvements:
Extension of the 118 route to serve Daly City BART (took effect 1/21/18)
One additional evening trip on the 118 at 7:30pm (took effect 1/21/18)
Evaluate opportunities for better-timed transfers to and from Coastside routes (ongoing effort in 2018)
Longer-term improvements, requiring significant resource investment, to be further studied:
Express bus route between HMB and Daly City BART, envisioned to run on weekdays at 20 or 30-minute frequency in the peak commute periods and hourly in the midday periods.

Continue to assess potential for non-traditional transportation options to solve mobility challenges on the Coast.
