Local Trails Affected by Heavy Rains

At Devil’s Slide Trail safety cones are in position to warn trail users of dirt and boulders on the trail.  Cleanup will take place over the next two weeks with heavy equipment.  K rails that line the inland side of the former roadbed functioned as designed limiting the amount of dirt that spilled onto the trail.

In Pacifica the storm washed away a portion of Weiler Ranch Road, a popular hiking trail in San Pedro Valley Park.  The majority of the .8-mile trail remains open via access from Oddstad Blvd or from the park entrance.  News release.
