Caltrans public meeting on Hwy 1 Crosswalks [POSTPONED]

Crosswalk Installation State Route 1 at Miramar Drive

This meeting originally scheduled for Aug 26 is POSTPONED to allow San Mateo County to complete current work along the Coastal Trail Bridge and provide time for continued coordination of future projects.  It will be rescheduled.

WHAT’S BEING PLANNED: The California Department of Transportation Caltrans District 4 (Bay Area) proposes to install a painted ladder style crosswalk across State Route 1 at the intersection of Miramar Drive in Half Moon Bay, San Mateo County. The work could be completed by the summer of 2020. The crosswalk will be similar to a crosswalk installed at Virginia Avenue in Half Moon Bay.

Additionally, Caltrans will develop a future pedestrian project to enhance Miramar Drive and Virginia Avenue that may include flashing beacons to assist with pedestrian movement.
