Ohlone-Portolá Heritage Trail Events

The MCC has been part of the planning for this trail, and it passes through the Midcoast with an interpretive sign planned on Pillar Point Bluff.  Two events are planned to celebrate and commemorate the trail and the 250th anniversary of the expedition.  Information about the trail project was originally here (broken), but is now here (2022).

Ohlone Day will be celebrated with the opening of the new visitor center at the Sanchez Adobe on Saturday, October 26, 2019 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.   For more info see the San Mateo County Historical Association site.

Ohlone-Portolá Heritage Day will be held at the Pacifica Community Center on November 2nd, 2019, from 10am - 3pm.  For more info, check the City of Pacifica site.

San Mateo County Transportation Authority Strategic Plan Review period

STRATEGIC PLAN 2020-2024
Introduction and Background
The San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) is developing the Strategic Plan 2020-2024 that will outline the principles, vision, goals, and implementation procedures for both Measure A and Measure W funds over the next five years.

A copy of the Draft Plan and a comment form are here.  The comment period is open until November 15, 2019.

Two Town Hall meetings will be held  on October 29th, 2019, both covering the same material. They will be at 3:30pm to 5:00pm OR 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the SamTrans offices, 1250 San Carlos Avenue, San Carlos.
