MCC Vacancy for Term Ending Dec 2020
Applications are being accepted for appointment by the Board of Supervisors to fill a vacancy on the Midcoast Community Council for a term ending in December 2020. To be eligible, applicant must be a registered voter residing in the unincorporated Midcoast communities of Montara, Moss Beach, El Granada, Princeton or Miramar.

Deadline for receipt of applications is Friday, February 22, 2019, at 5:00 PM.
Applicants will be interviewed at the regular MCC meeting on February 27, 2019, for a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors.
The mission of the MCC is to provide the community with a more effective means to express its views to the County of San Mateo and other governmental agencies on matters of concern to the community, and to contribute to the community’s awareness of issues of public import by providing a forum for discussions. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM (ending time varies), at 504 Ave Alhambra, 3rd floor, El Granada.
King Tides & Coffee at Surfers' Beach Jan 19
King tides are the highest tides of the year and help us visualize what every day water levels could look like with sea level rise. The San Mateo County Sea Change team is leading a King Tides & Coffee event to inform the public about king tides and sea level rise.
Saturday, Jan 19, 2019, 8:00-10:00AM (high tide peaks at 8:12AM)
8:00 AM meet at Surfers’ Beach, near Coronado, El Granada - coffee
8:15 AM guided walk along the shoreline with County staff
9:00 AM presentations, activities, coffee & bagels at Miramar Beach Restaurant parking lot
