POST Buys Last Private Land on Pillar Point Bluff

Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) has completed purchase of the last private land on Pillar Point Bluff, with funding from the Coastal Conservancy, and plans to transfer the property to County Parks by year-end.   The 21-acre parcel lies between the Pillar Ridge Manufactured Home Community and the ocean.  This addition to the County’s Pillar Point Bluff preserve will connect a gap in the California Coastal Trail, though there is no timeline yet for actual trail improvements.  

Hwy 1 Crossings/Medians/Turn Lanes: Mar 11 Public Workshop

The March 11 MCC meeting will be a public workshop at special venue: 7:00 – 8:30 PM, Cypress Meadows, 343 Cypress Ave, Moss Beach.  Agenda - Flyer - Video

New design alternatives for Midcoast Highway 1 crossings, medians, & left turn lanes will be presented by the County’s traffic consultants, followed by Q&A, and community feedback. The design revisions are a result of public feedback at two community workshops last summer.  

A more in-depth Preliminary Planning Study and an online survey are available on the County's Speakout site (comment deadline April 15).
