Green Streets Improvement Project at Moss Beach Post Office

At their May 28 meeting (agenda), the County Planning Commission will consider improvements proposed for the east side of Carlos St. in the Moss Beach Post Office block.  The project involves construction of ~340 linear feet of bioretention swales, parking, bicycle, and pedestrian safety improvements.  The Staff Report includes detailed design plans to see what the project will look like, and photos that explain where the area stormwater flows.  The motivation for the project is to reduce pollutants in stormwater runoff before they reach the Marine Reserve.  Learn more about the Fitzgerald ASBS Pollution Reduction Program here

GGNRA Rancho Interim Trail Plan

The National Park Service NPS) is developing an Interim Trail Plan for Rancho Corral de Tierra (Rancho). This interim plan maps and names the trails that will be maintained by NPS until a Long-Range Trail Master Plan is completed in the next three to five years.  The plan establishes accepted trail uses (bicycle, pedestrian, equestrian) to help mitigate conflicts between user groups.  It does not regulate dog walking activities and defers to the Dog Management Plan.

The public comment period is open through June 14. To view the plan and comment, go to (web link).
