Harbor Dredging Public Meeting 1/8/13

Harbor District General Manager is holding a public meeting Jan 8, 3pm, at HMB Yacht Club, to discuss the boat launch ramp dredging scheduled for this spring.  Local surfers and others have questioned the continued placement of dredge material on Perched Beach (near kayak stand) when other eroded local beaches (Surfers Beach and Princeton shoreline) cry out for beach replenishment.  Link to HMB Review article.

UPDATE 1/15/13:  The Harbor District will add a new page to their website, available by February, on Pillar Point Harbor Dredging.  The page will also maintain information on Surfers Beach and Princeton shoreline erosion, and other dredging-related issues. Background documents will be available and upcoming meetings, including Army Corps on Surfers Beach, and County Princeton Planning process as it relates to shoreline erosion.
