Protecting Coastal Watersheds Workshop August 25, 2012

Saturday, 8/25, 10-1, at Cypress Meadows in Moss Beach.

Our Midcoast shoreline from Montara to Pillar Point is a state-designated Area of Special Biological Significance (ASBS). The workshop is part of Fitzgerald ASBS Pollution Reduction Program.  The Midcoast watershed is a designated Critical Coastal Area and we who live here affect what pollutants run downhill into our creeks, storm drains and ocean. The workshop will inform residents, contractors, and builders.  Topics covered will be rain gardens & bioswales, pervious pavements, irrigation & pesticide use, rainwater harvesting & gray-water reuse, and permits & requirements. See MCC Watershed Page for related info.
