The Big Wave Project appeal will be heard by the California Coastal Commission (CCC) at their August 8 meeting in Santa Cruz. Staff report will be posted July 27 – check back for link.
  
UPDATE: Coastal Commission staff report finds substantial issue exists - recommends deny project. The item has been scheduled to start first in the afternoon session (1:00 pm).
A 5.5-mile band of shoreline from Montara to Pillar Point is designated as an Area of Special Biological Significance (ASBS) and the County is working to reduce pollution into these coastal waters carried by stormwater runoff. Workshop: “Protecting Coastal Watersheds” 8/25/12
County on-line survey asks, at a time of diminishing resources, what priorities should our civic leaders set for our community? The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors will use the results in setting future priorities.
Special meeting at 7:30 pm 7/18/12 at Granada Sanitary District meeting room, 504 Ave. Alhambra, 3rd Floor, El Granada, to continue discussion of the Draft Midcoast Highway 1 Action Plan in a new format, gather public comments and discuss proposed priorities and time frames for the Highway 1 improvement projects.
