At Surfers' Beach, as Caltrans works to extend the riprap southward to protect the highway and the Coastal Trail, the existing armoring to the north is failing.

At Mirada Surf, sea cliff erosion is digging deep indentations into the shoreline.

At Fitzgerald Marine Reserve overlook, a sinkhole has developed behind the deteriorating armoring. 

In Moss Beach, large chunks of bluff are falling at the end of Beach St nourishing the beach — slides.
